Celtic have a brilliant home record in Europe , on big matchdays such as Man Utd , Barca , Ac Milan , the stadium is rocking as 60 000 fans sign their hearts out.
The last few years we have been pretty poor but as our manager Neil Lennon says " I want to bring the thunder back " .
Although I very much doubt it , if Celtic park is sold out vs FC Sion , you will not stand a chance.

I am sure you will be areas 120 and 119, they aren't the best of views may I add especially 120, so if there are empty seats move over to 119.

Don't be so ignorant, of course they have a chance we are not as good as we used to be, and from what players they have and what I have seen of them Sion are a good side.

Make sure you visit the Celtic pubs in Glasgow.

They are 15 minute walk from the stadium and close to the city centre.

You will need to add a FC Sion scarf to the wall! :-D

Agreed, Swiss football seems on the up, be a good tie IMO.

hi, another Celtic fan here, i've already posted in another thread (in French) before i noticed this one,

as has been mentioned, our midfield is our strength, but our goalkeeper and central defenders are our weakness,

the game in Glasgow will be the key game for me, if we keep a clean sheet i think we will go through :biere:

First of all, a warm welcome to all the Celtic guys!

I couldn't believe this morning when I saw that we'll play Celtic... My favourite club against the legendary greens!

I'm thinking about the last time I was at Celtic park... A 9-0 win over Aberdeen last year!!!! I'm still lmfao thinking about the goat that you guys threw to the visitor area! If I remember well it was kinda testimonial for Henke Larsson was'nt it?

I'm already scared of Hooper and Stokes... they're great strikers!

btw, is there any chance that you guys will play one day in the Barclay's premier league or the discussions about it are done?

Hopefully one day we will get out of the hell hole of the spl but I don't see it being any time soon and away from home Samaras is likely to play up top himself with a midfield 5 of Brown Kayal Ki Ledley Commons behind him. And about Larsson it wasn't a testamonial he just happened to be training with us that week and came out at half time. Stokes and Hooper were brilliant that day but none of them can play up front themselves our only striker capable of playing upfront by him self is Samaras who is inconsistent but brilliant on his day.

Actually we need to install new seats to be able to play in our Stadium, so it should be something like 10000, but with "unseaten" place and if people in popular tribune are very thight probably 15000, but it's only guessing, if someone could be more accurate that would be nice!

It was a sheep mate, they are known as the 'sheep shaggers.'

And no not testimonial but him and another Celtic player Chris Sutton were guest of honours and Henrik trained with the team the day before, it certainly helped :bien:

Hooper and Stokes are both great but Hooper hasn't looked fully fit for a while.

Hi guys! We are so excited playing the Celtics. This happens once in a lifetime!!

We used to play our EL games in Geneva but the stadium in Sion has been slightly enhanced recently so we should be allowed to play "at home" eventually.

Here are, though not so recent, several pictures of the Kop:
http://m.youtube.com/index?desktop_uri= ... 3CgZoUjXIU

Question: what do you guys think about taking the plane to Edinburgh instead of Glasgow? Are train facilities effective? What do you advise?

train services from Edinburgh to Glasgow are generally very good, the journey time is around 40 minutes and the price is around £10.

Hello all

Just looking for some information for travelling to Sion.

If the game is played in Sion do you think SBB will run extra trains back to Geneva after the match?? Last train I can see is around 11pm.

Would you recommend going back to Geneva or staying in a hotel in Sion?

Are there any bars open late in Sion? :biere:

Thanks for all your help

I doubt CFF/SBB will provide you with extra trains to Geneva, if the game starts at 8.30 pm or later it will be a bit short to reach the train station... Better stay in Sion and have a few beers in town. Pubs should close at midnight but they are some clubs that close a bit later (not sure about the correct closing time). Unfortunately Sion is a small town, 28.000 inhabitants, there are not so many night-clubs but I'm sure you will find one and have a good time!
